A natural water source, this area is very shallow because of the sediment
and the dam was damage. During the rainy season, it can not be retarded
the water and the water running down to the marsh over the capacity of the
swamps. It causes floods every year. At the same time, it can not retain enough
water for agriculture and consumption in the dry season. The people in the area
have made a petition to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to pray for the
dredging and repair of the dam. And His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej setting this as a
royal project. It is a tribute to the Kalasin people.
