Pong Lang, Phrae Wa and Red Cross Fair

It is annually held on 26 February -7 march in front of the provincial hall of Kalasin.
The fair includes the parade from each district which are decorated with a gigantic instrument
of Pong Lang. It has a contest about playing a local musical instrument called “Hai” which is
made of jar. There is a beauty pageant called “Thida Phrae wa” wearing a local dress made
from Phrae wa Silk. Moreover many local products are sold in the fair.

Loi Krathong Festival

เปนงานระดับจังหวัดเพื่อสงเสริมอนุรักษวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีอันดีงามของทองถิ่น
ใหสืบทอดไปในอนาคต และเปนการรำลึกถึงสนามบินเสรีไทยของอำเภอนาคูในสมัยสงครามโลก
ครั้งท ี่ 2 ชมขบวนแหฟอนรำผูไทจำนวนกวาพันคนที่ตระการตา
It is one of the provincial events to promote and preserve a beautiful culture
and custom as well as to recall the Seri Thai Airport of Amphoe Na Khu in
World War 2. The visitors can see the beautiful procession of thousand of Phu
Thai dancers.
