The New Rice Welcoming Ceremony
“ขาว”เปนผลผลิตที่สำคัญของประเทศไทย ชาวนาในประเทศมีความเชื่อถือเกี่ยวกับ
พระแมโพสพ โดยเฉพาะชาวอีสาน จึงมีประเพณีเกี่ยวกับขาวอันหลากหลาย ที่จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ
มีพิธีเรียกวา “บุญบายศรีสูขวัญขาวคูนลาน” ซึ่งถือเปนประเพณีที่ยิ่งใหญ มีการกอสราง
ปราสาทรวงขาวเปนลานรวงสวยงามตระการตา จัดขึ้นในชวงอาทิตยที่สองของเดือนกุมภาพันธ
ของทุกป ที่วัดเศวตวนาราม บานตอน ตำบลเหนือ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ
“Rice” is an important product of Thailand. The Thai farmers' beliefs in
Phra Mae Pho Sop, the goddess of rice, especially Isan people (Northeastern people).
They have a lot of traditional events concerning with rice. At Kalasin, a ceremony
called “The New Rice Welcoming Ceremony” (Khun Lan) is a great traditional event
of Kalasin people. In this ceremony, a beautiful castle is built with million of ears
of rice through harmony and gratitude to every single “rice”. This ceremony is held
annually at the second week of February at Wat Sawet Wanaram, Ban Ton,
Tambon Nuea, Amphoe Mueang,Kalasin province.
